The Company

G. Simmonds Electrical was established in 1982 by Geoff Simmonds and later in 2005 was turned Limited. Based in Godalming the company covers the area of London and the South East of England providing services from a single new point to complete bespoke installations for new build properties.

G. Simmonds Electrical Limited is a member of the ECA, Trustmark, Surrey Trading Standards, Buy with Confidence, Part P (approved by ELECSA) and MCS (approved by ELECSA). For more information on these accreditations, please see our “standards” page.

The People

Geoff Simmonds

Geoff has been in the business since 1971 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Electrical Installation field.

Geoff studied at Guildford Technical College between 1971 and 1978 where he obtained a City & Guilds Qualification in Electrical Installations and then continued his studies for two further years to obtain Electrical Technicians Certificates.

Geoff became a JIB approved electrician in 1977 and set up his own business, G. Simmonds Electrical, in 1982 to provide quality electrical installations in the South East of England.

Since college, Geoff has carried out further studies in testing and commissioning of electrical installations, commissioning of renewable energy installations and also travelled to America to do his service training on the PC25 Fuel Cell at International Fuel Cell in the USA.

Matthew Simmonds

Geoff’s son Matt joined the company in 2003 as an apprentice and studied with ATL at their Training Centre in Guildford between 2003 to 2005. Matt obtained a City & Guilds Qualification in Electrical Installations.
